The City of St. John's is seeking nominations to fill the following vacancies for the Arts & Culture Advisory Committee:
- One vacancy for an individual representing a Music Organization.
- One vacancy representing a community-based public member representative with a strong interest in arts, culture, and intangible cultural heritage.

Road Closure: Oxen Pond Road

Oxen Pond Road between Mount Scio Road and O'Brien's Hill will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to facilitate road construction.
Traffic will not be permitted through the construction zone; however, local traffic can use the O'Brien's Hill side to get to their properties.
The City of St. John's apologizes for any inconvenience.

Description
The proposed application is for a Lounge within the existing Restaurant, which will have a floor area of approximately 43 m². Hours of operation will be Monday to Saturday, 11:30am to 8:00pm. Parking is provided on-site.

Canada Drive Active Transportation and Safety Improvements Update

City staff are bringing a recommendation for the design of Canada Drive to the Committee of the Whole (COTW) meeting this Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
Previously, the City shared two concepts to improve active transportation and road safety on Canada Drive and collected feedback for the following options.

Roadside Pruning Operations Begin November 14

The City of St. John's will be conducting roadside pruning operations beginning November 14, 2022, continuing until March 31, 2023.
The purpose of this operation is to prune low hanging branches that interfere with pedestrian or vehicular traffic and create sightline issues. To ensure unobstructed and safe passage, branches must be pruned to a height of approximately 2.4 metres (8 feet) over the sidewalk and 4.2 metres (14 feet) over the road.
